Whilst the MG Montego was the previous saloon to wear the MG bade, I think it's wrong to say that this was the ZT's predecessor. Although not MGs, the Rover 800 Vitesse and 620ti models are more of a predecessor than the Montego could possibly be. Should this be changed? I'm also basing this on the number of owners I know, including myself, who changed from one of the larger Rover turbos to an MG ZT - it was the natural prgression if you wanted something from the same manufacturer. 157.203.254.3 (talk) 06:43, 19 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
That's a great point!
I went from a 620ti (the silver one which appears on the Rover 600 Series page!) to an MG ZT 190+, though I still have the 620ti as my toy! So I don't think the MG Montego should really be there as the predecessor really. There was also a huge gap between the Montego ceasing production and the ZT appearing.
