We need more information on this page desperately please.

MSC PATRAN

edit

Question: Why does the PATRAN link now point to the article Computer-Aided Enginering? I previously saw a page on PATRAN somewhere, but perhaps it was considered too commercial. I think that being a commercial product is not a good reason. There is at least some certain historical context that should be made known, e.g. PATRAN has been the de facto pre-post processor for NASTRAN for AGES!

Really? Patran is a niche product that nobody I know personally has ever used willingly. I've used Nastran since, um, 1992. Greg Locock (talk) 12:53, 20 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Contested deletion

edit

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because MSC is one of the biggest players in the engineering software field. eg http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20110823005721/en/Research-Markets-Global-Finite-Element-Analysis-SoftwareGreglocock (talk) 07:42, 13 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

I concur with Greglocock. Its a very notable company in the industry. How does deletion nomination happen at all?--Conrad Kilroy (talk) 03:28, 21 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
