These paragraphs need to be rewritten:

an-Nisa, 24 can be interpreted either as explaining that "those whom one's right hands possess" are the only category of women with whom one may have sex even if they are already married, or as using the term to refer to one's own wife as opposed to others' wives. The phrasing in the rest of that verse could be read in isolation either as excepting or as including "those whom one's right hands possess" among those to whom one must give a dowry "for the enjoyment you have of them." [citation needed]

The following verse adds that a believer, if he cannot afford to marry a chaste believer and cannot restrain his desires, may marry a believing girl who is chaste (not a fornicator or an adulteress) from among "those whom your right hands possess", giving due dowry to her household (literally "household", but translated by some as "owner" or "master"); if the woman so married commits indecency, the punishment is half that for chaste women. (To keep this verse from contradicting itself, the translators understand "chaste"—محصنات muhsanat—as meaning "free" in the general case, but "chaste" when referring to the slave.) Apart from the occasionally operative distinction between Muslim and non-Muslim slaves, Muslim law recognizes only one category of slaves, regardless of their ethnic origin or the source of their condition. The institution is kept going by only two lawful means: birth in slavery or capture in war, and even of these the latter is not applicable to Muslims, since though they may remain enslaved they cannot be reduced to slavery. Legally therefore, the only Muslim slaves are those born into both categories or who were already slaves at the time of their conversion to Islam. Also, the article in it's current forms make sense for being sub-articles to the more sex oriented Islam related articles: having a link to the general Ma malakat aymanukum would make less sense. No, im not a "newcomer" as you are calling, ive been editting and working on articles here for quite a few years now. And i Knew that it was a Book reference. But it is unverified, we dont know what kind of book it is or how authentic it is, or whether a book of this name even exists, though im not saying it doesnt. and for example, if a certain book or source said 1+1=11, it does not mean that it is so, because it would be wrong, its supposed to be 2. Same way, even if its a book reference it must be a reputable or trustworthy source. Plus, its written by some LoveJoy or Paul E, who does not sound like an Islamic scholar or expert. I find this confusing. If the master must first marry his slave, doesn't that make the slave into a spouse too? Are married slaves not called 'spouse' and 'ma malakat aymanukum' is used instead? Perhaps there are separate terms for the two in arab but in english 'spouse' basically means someone you are married to, slave or not. POV all over the place

the general tone of the article is apologetic, i.e. it tries to somehow mitigate, in the reader, the negative impression that "sex with female slaves" will evoke. Therefore, it goes to great extent in stressing secondary aspects (no prostiotution etc) and neglects central aspects (consent to sex by the female slave? can someone "rape" his female slave or, is rape exluded - per analogy with "marital rape" ?)

Also, there is no historical section (slave raids, harems etc).

All in all, this article is quite exemplary, and I think one should leave its entirely POV character untouched.

Prostitution?

How it is possible that on the one side a ma malakat aymanukum may prostitute (when she doesn't desire chastity) and on the other side prostitution is forbidden? Does this apply to slaves that are bought?

1. If I purchase a slave from somebody, then the slave is now mine, correct? If so, I have the right to have sexual relations with this slave. After 1 hour, I will sell the slave back to the owner. Now, the slave is not mine. This is how prostitution works. Does this mean prostitution is halal (permissible)? What is the Islamic view on this? (I am Muslim by the way.)

2. Slaves are sometimes defined as people that lost and were captured during a war. What constitutes a "war"? Is there a minimum requirement for the number of people involved in a war for it to be considered a "war"? Is there a minimum requirement for the area (size) of the country/land? In Prophet Muhammed's time, war took place between villages and involved just a handful of people. It was still considered "war". My question is: If I have a "war" in my bedroom with two females, and win by defeating them both, they become my slave, correct? Now is it permissible for me to enjoy sexual intercourse with them?

3. Can people voluntarily become slaves? So if my girlfriend offers herself to me as a slave, is it permissible for me to have sexual relations with her? Also I have the right to set slaves free, so I can set her free after 1 hour.

To no.1: Prostitution is illegal only if it is with a free Muslim. For example, this article says: "Force not your maids to prostitution when they desire chastity." Therefore, prostitution with a slave is not illegal. The rule, that you have to treat your slaves well, applies only to Muslim slaves; therefore, you can force a non-Muslim slave to prostitution even when this slave desires chastity.
To no.2: It is the caliph who declares war and peace. It is also the caliph who distributes the war booty.
To no.3: First of all: You must not enslave a Muslim. You must not set a non-Muslim slave free. When a Muslim leaves Islam, you have to kill him.
You write: "So if my girlfriend offers herself to me as a slave, is it permissible for me to have sexual relations with her? Also I have the right to set slaves free, so I can set her free after 1 hour." The only possible scenario is that your girlfriend is a non-Muslim, then you enslave her, then she converts to Islam, then you set her free and she stays a Muslimah.

Iddah period

On the rules section, it says the Muslim master has to wait for the females idda period to end before having sex with her. Whats apparent from other hadith is that this isn't the case(and I am not scholar, it is only apparent from the english translation.)

On Islam QA it appears that there is no idda, rather, one must wait until the pregnancy is fulfilled or a menstrual cycle has passed. Here is a quote

"Shaykh Ahmad Shaakir commented on this issue by saying: Khaalid took her and had intercourse with her as a concubine because she was a prisoner, and there is no ‘iddah in the case of a prisoner, but it is completely haraam for her master to approach her if she is pregnant, before she gives birth, or if she is not pregnant, before she has had one menstrual period. "
