editThe Georgia information box at the bottom of this page states the capital of Georgia is Augusta, which is incorrect. The capital is Atlanta. I am unsure how to edit this box that has been abstracted out of the main page. MissOPA 20:28, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
- The source of that box is at Template:Georgia. Happy editing! — User:ACupOfCoffee@ 20:30, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the direction - it has been updated. MissOPA 21:03, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
Largest unincorporated community after Brookhaven is incorporated?
editI believe that title goes to East Cobb. If we're talking about CDPs then I think that should be mentioned. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.122.187.149 (talk) 19:09, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
- I checked the list at Metro Atlanta and it appears that Mableton is correct. Georgia guy (talk) 19:21, 14 August 2012 (UTC)

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution article on Gov. Kemp signs Mableton cityhood bill, sending another decision to Cobb voters
editHere is an article from The Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Gov. Kemp signs Mableton cityhood bill, sending another decision to Cobb voters. Rjluna2 (talk) 17:03, 29 May 2022 (UTC)
- Accordingly, wouldn't it be reasonable to update the "Cityhood" section to note the 2022 November vote? Or better to wait and update after the results? Spindrift Aura (talk) 04:54, 28 October 2022 (UTC)
The map boundary and sq mi is wrong
editMableton includes Six Flags. Someone just updated the page to call it a city but didn't really think things through. See: https://cobbcountyga.maps.arcgis.com/apps/instant/minimalist/index.html?appid=d6717485818c42999082559b030bf889 Netdragon (talk) 04:57, 3 April 2023 (UTC)
- I will fix. News sites had the likely population of 78,000. I had to use GIS tools to estimate the square mileage https://geo-cobbcountyga.hub.arcgis.com/apps/dab9d4280e13404b91c9cd5926981028/explore
- I will mark this article time sensitive.

Population 78,000
editAs far as I can tell the population is more like 42,000. None of the sources in the article were helpful. Abductive (reasoning) 21:24, 19 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Abductive: the website says 78,000. Sahaib (talk) 21:28, 19 January 2024 (UTC)
- That's not the city's website, and it may have taken the figure from Wikipedia. It looks like a sketchy commercial website. Abductive (reasoning) 21:29, 19 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Abductive: the new city most likely has a higher population as this source states that they are 47,282 registered voters in Mableton. Sahaib (talk) 01:35, 26 January 2024 (UTC)
- This source says that Smyrna was going to annex Mableton and three other areas, which would increase Smyrna's population from 56,685 to 92,784, which is 36,099. Mabelton the CDP had a population of 37,115. 36,099 + 37,115 = 73,214. So, I wonder. Abductive (reasoning) 02:45, 26 January 2024 (UTC)
