I replaced the previous picture on the article (left) with a new one (right) which was on the Wayne State page. The latter seemed like a better representation since the bottom 2/3 of the building wasn't lopped off.

Architectural style

edit

The article says this is a Neo-gothic style building. Is there a citation for this? The round arch windows on the first, tenth and fourteenth floors and the rose windows on the first floor would suggest that it's Romanesque revival.Goldnpuppy (talk) 03:48, 15 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Photo taken from the building in 1942

edit

I'm not suggesting we add this photo to the article, as I don't know the ownership of it, but if you're interested in this building, this photo of Detroit was taken from an upper floor of the Maccabees Building in 1942: [1] Moncrief (talk) 19:17, 11 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Date for the DPS headquarters?

edit

In the article's introductory section, it states that "from 1960 to 2000, it served as the headquarters of Detroit Public Schools." But in the History section, it states that the DPS was there only from 1960 to 1992. Which is correct? Fultie771 (talk) 02:19, 6 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

I cut this out and moved it here

edit

Exterior carving was completed by noted sculptor Corrado Parducci.[1]

First of all, Parducci did not carve anything except a few wooden pieces of his own and secondly the reference link is dead, and thirdly, it is suspect on this point in any case.
