Corris railway going through to Morben

edit

According to the map at Corris Railway the line goes on to Morben, but the text and the box at the end indicates that the Corris Railway terminates here. Would someone like to comment! Ender's Shadow Snr (talk) 15:41, 28 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

The horse-worked tramway went that far. Once the mainline railway arrived at Machynlleth though, there was little point in the new steam-hauled Corris going any further, especially as there was some trouble with the river channel moving and disrupting the old tramway quay. Footbridge

edit

I know the footbridge was replaced in 2016 but I am unable to find a reliable news source on its opening. Unfortunately the station facilities section on the Network Rail website is outdated and shows the previous bridge. Another example of how the website is outdated is on the facilities for Cosford railway station in which the map shows the old station before it was rebuilt between October 2011 and April 2012. I used the link to the Flickr image as I am having difficulty in finding a free image of the present bridge.Tk420 (talk) 13:47, 7 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
