- ... that Madam Ghurka who was a notorious fortune-teller, was awarded £1,000 in damages after being described as a notorious fortune-teller? Source: see the article, the the ADB and this newspaper

- Comment: If you find an error then feel free to fix it. There is an image but its not very hooky. If you can improve the hook or see a better one then please be bold.

- Cited: Yes. Interesting: Yes (and also quite funny). Article age is fine. QPQ is done. Overall, good to go. P.S., this is only my second review, so if I made a mistake please let me know. Di (they-them) (talk) 04:07, 9 October 2023 (UTC)
- @Victuallers and Di (they-them): The sources do not seem to support the part of the hook: "who was a notorious fortune-teller". Maybe you are refereing to her early life: "at 16 she was arrested for bomb throwing"? 1. Lightburst (talk) 20:05, 9 October 2023 (UTC)
- Fortune telling (an illegal activity) is in the first few words of the ref. I guess you could have been throwing bombs, sentenced to death, escaped from a Russian prison, stabbed, killed someone, been a secret agent, called a liar by a judge, give false witness that causes a man to be hanged, have a book written about your perjury .... and not be notorious ... but it would be a first. She herself confesses that Madame Ghurka is "well known". I think this passes the duck test. Victuallers (talk) 22:53, 9 October 2023 (UTC)
- @Victuallers: Thanks so much, that was my take as well, but now the admin who promotes to queue will know we had a talk about it. I will promote. Have a great week.

Per issues raised by myself and Fram, I've pulled this hook. Feel free to ping when the issues with prose and sourcing have been addressed. theleekycauldron (talk • she/her) 08:28, 15 October 2023 (UTC)
