Neutral Point of View of Ecotourism Section
editThanks for the great info. I noticed the Ecotourism section doesn't have a neutral point of view and reads like an advertisement. It'd be great if it could be edited accordingly. (David.xia 2018-10-03). —Preceding undated comment added 18:59, 3 October 2018 (UTC)
Libelous content
editThis page contains libelous content. The paragraph regarding Rosa Maria Ruiz is not true. The article and Thorn Tree posting cited do not refer to anything like what has been written here. 26.04.09 (Peccary50 (talk) 17:08, 26 April 2009 (UTC)).
- Peccary50 This is a serious claim. I note that the section has subsequently been re-written to reflect Ms. Ruiz in a positive light. As a courtesy, would you provide a rationale for the changes? As it stands, the section could be interpreted as non-neutral, and will likely be removed by another Wikipedian. Atomic putty? Rien! (talk) (talk) 15:30, 26 July 2022 (UTC)
- Addendum. The notability of the individual Rosa Maria Ruiz is uncertain. Their rationale behind their inclusion in this article has not been supported. The section in question reads like an advertisement. The section has been removed, and a copy will be included here to facilitate future reinstatement if warranted.
- The section was as follows.
- ==Effort==
- Rosa Maria Ruiz is a woman who has fought for the park and its conservation for over 20 years. She is the founder of Eco-Bolivia, an organization that was instrumental in establishing Madidi National Park in the 1990s. In 2000, Ruiz led a team from the National Geographic through the Madidi National park, the resulting article drew significant international attention to the area, and assisted in derailing plans for the construction of a hydroelectric dam within the park. The organization ceased to operate in 2002. Ruiz now continues her work through Madidi Travel, an organisation that works to consolidate the Madidi Mosaic by generating income from sustainable tourism. Madidi Travel currently operates the Serere Sanctuary, a four thousand hectare private reserve, located three hours from Rurrenabaque by boat.[1][2]
- Ted Parker, famed ornithologist at Cornell University, also had a hand in the establishment of Madidi National Park.[1] Atomic putty? Rien! (talk) (talk) 15:37, 26 July 2022 (UTC)

The page needs a map showing the park boundaries rather than simply the park location.
editFrom simply reading the article, the park boundaries might take up a large portion of the shown map. Will (Talk - contribs) 05:03, 23 February 2019 (UTC)
