Suggestions for improvements
edit1) Add in the alien invasions it suffered. K'Lanti in X-Factor #111 (a whole block of citizens exploded) and in X-Treme X-Men where much of the country was devestated.
2) Political coups. Didn't Wolverine literally kill the ruling parties?

- And another; there's some comic floating around detailing a horrible plague (?) that killed 15 percent of the population. Wish I could remember! Lots42 (talk) 06:26, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
Name origin
editWould it be fair to point out its derivation from Robert Silverberg's Majipoor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Majipoor_series), first appearing ~1980-82 (Madripoor first appearing in print in 1985 according to http://www.marvel.com/universe/Madripoor)? Appereance
editMadripoor shows up in the recent Eternals vol. 3, Annual #1 and looks pretty thriving, except for the whole 'All their minds stolen by crazy people' part. Not sure where I would put this info in the article. Lots42 (talk) 09:55, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
