Separate Article for Don Thompson?
editI added a link and a disambiguation feature for Maggie's husband, Don recently. I believe that his contributions to comics fandom have been significant enough to warrant his own page, but thought I'd start it here first.
The Lupoff/Thompseon All In Color For A Dime is cited all over the place here. I just spent a few minutes converting all the entries so that Dick Lupoff's citations linked to his article Richard A. Lupoff, and Don's to the disambiguation page. His bio in The Comic-Book Book mentions that he was an editor for the Cleveland Press and that science-fiction author Betsy Curtis (same person as this? -- http://web2.airmail.net/tharvia/hugo_authors/curtis.html) was his mother-in-law. He was awarded a Comicon International (San Diego Comicon at the time) Inkpot Award in 1976 (http://www.comic-con.org/cci/cci_inkpot.shtml), thus passing that part of the notability standards. He also has an award named after him: http://www.cbgxtra.com/default.aspx?tabid=42&view=profile&uid=2536 and http://www.comicon.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=35;t=000435;p=0
More Information on Betsy Curtis, Maggie's mother
editMaggie posted information on her 'Beautiful Balloons' forum in January about her mother, including a bibliography:

Auction
editThe auctioning of parts of Maggie's collection got enough mainstream attention (such as this AP article that it probably deserves at least a mention here. --Nat Gertler (talk) 16:42, 15 March 2014 (UTC)
Please remove "former librarian" from the lede
editMaggie herself has reached out to me with a request for a change here. I will not be making the change myself due to both having retired from article editing and because I have a conflict of interest when it comes to Maggie (we are friends who have hired each other on projects.) She would like "former librarian" removed from the opening sentence. This is because:
- It is not accurate. She never had the title "librarian" nor the academic credential for same. (She was a "pre-professional assistant children's librarian".)
- It is not part of her notabiiity, just a role she had for about 2 years. Her comics- and fandom-related work are clearly the source of her notability.
- This misplaced emphasis is causing problems elsewhere, causing Google to note her for her librarianship rather than her decades of notable work (yes, I will try to deal with Google separately.)
If there is any further information I can give on this, let me know. Nat Gertler (talk) 00:05, 31 July 2022 (UTC)
