Biblical
editGerda: Bible is a proper noun, hence "Biblical". The lowercase version is used in a figurative sense. I think you're leaning on German here. Jmar67 (talk) 11:59, 14 November 2019 (UTC)
- Probably, but I know enough people who'd say "the bible", like "the hymnal", or "the novel". --
- If they are RS, OK. But it's an error as far as I'm concerned. Jmar67 (talk) 12:16, 14 November 2019 (UTC)
Bolding of RV numbers
editGerda: Do not understand. You shouldn't be using this as a personal reminder (?). Jmar67 (talk) 12:03, 14 November 2019 (UTC)
- Incoming redirects appear bold, compare BWV 56. I created them now. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:07, 14 November 2019 (UTC)
- Beginning to get it, but the first occurrence of RV 610 here is not bold? Jmar67 (talk) 12:21, 14 November 2019 (UTC)
- Yes, sigh, repeated problem: the first time carries the link, and we shouldn't link from something bold. If you have a good solution, highly welcome! The Bach cantatas have it this way and that way, depending on who wrote them. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:39, 14 November 2019 (UTC)

Gerda, please stop confusing fellow-editors: the lead sentence of BWV 56 is an example of how it should not be done: extremely cluttered, unattractive to read, and not conforming to actual guidance on several levels. E.g., from MOS:LEADSENTENCE: "Be wary of cluttering the first sentence with a long parenthesis containing alternative spellings, pronunciations, etc., which can make the sentence difficult to actually read..." --Francis Schonken (talk) 03:55, 24 December 2019 (UTC)
- Thank you for your kind message. Sorry, the audio files are awful. They were removed for that reason. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:03, 24 December 2019 (UTC)
