Deleted items, possible transwiki
edit{{helpme}}
- In Persian, "mahi" means "Fish" ( ماهی )
- Mahi or maha, Sanskrit title meaning great
- "Mahi" means a lover in Punjabi.[1]
I just deleted the above foreign words following WP:NOTDICT but perhaps these should be added to Wiktionary, which does not currently have a wikt:mahi page there. Is there a specific tag to draw this to the attention of a suitably experienced editors? I looked at wp:transwiki but was baffled despite my experience here as a contributor!
(I left the Sanskrit one on the disam page as Maha has some content, but that page also needs attention, probably splitting off to a Name page.) - Fayenatic (talk) 18:58, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
- The proper location of the
{{helpme}}
template is the user talk page. The best option is to ask around. I would ask at Wiktionary. --The New Mikemoral ♪♫ 19:07, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
Thanks. I found the Persian one is already there and added it to the Wiktionary link here. I added the Punjabi one on a "Requested entries" page there. - Fayenatic (talk) 19:31, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
