I'm puzzled: Makarau is named in several non-english texts as a town and municipality in the Northern Island of New-Zealand, Wikipedia has just nothing about such a place, but Google Maps clearly shows the town, at -36.465395326596315, 174.5422408321865, and shows also the surrounding municipality. Are those texts and is Google Maps just mad, or does such a town really exists? It would be a simple solution if the town would be just listed under a different spelling in Wikipedia, but then there should be any hint in Google Maps about alternative spellings. Well, Wikidata knows the place, at d:Q65431328, and there is a text in maori about it. At least... ThomasPusch (talk) 12:32, 24 October 2023 (UTC)
