editThe majority of my edits were shortening long sentences and combining others to make the page more concise. I would recommend reevaluating the importance of the lists of states in the Geographic Range section and the lists of crops in the Food Resources section. I don't believe that they entire list is necessary, though I would defer to one who knows more. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tommytrope (talk • contribs) 04:47, 11 April 2024 (UTC)
I thought that the language was clear and that the article went into great detail. I think that there are additional important topics that are not covered on the page. I would be interested to learn more about the mating behaviors that the beetles experience or other behavioral interactions that they exhibit. For that reason, I added some sources that discussed oviposition in females to understand more about the behavioral habits of this species. I added some links as well to clarify the section that I added. I also agree that I'm not sure if the list of states is necessary in the Geographic Range section. I think that paragraph could benefit from just including general regions. The article overall was thorough and a great read! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Anushkav18 (talk • contribs) 06:34, 11 April 2024 (UTC)

editThis entry was really well written! I just made some minor changes— I re-arranged some headings and took out some mentions of researchers/research since I don't think that needs to be explicitly stated. I believe some sections could use more citations (for example, there is a chunk of information in the geographic range section where the source is unclear, as well as the food resources and life history sections). I'm not sure if the Strawberry fields section is entirely necessary since a lot of it does not concern M. formosae, so maybe this could be cut down. Otherwise this was fun to read and it covered a great variety of topics! Esacchetti (talk) 15:46, 11 April 2024 (UTC)

editI really enjoyed reading about the asiatic garden beetle. There was interesting information regarding the distincitoon between species and interactions with humans and livestock. There was good word flow and it was easy to read. I would include a little bit about the mating patterns of these beetles. There was discussion regarding how pheromones can be altered to drive out of beetles as pests. It would be interesting to learn more about the pheromones specific or unique to this beetle. Minor edits were made to describe some characteristics of the beetles better.Sbimal (talk) 21:22, 11 April 2024 (UTC)

editI added some pictures to break up blocks of texts and provide engaging visuals for the reader. I also added a morphology section at the very beginning and added a physical description of the beetle here. I deleted the “Interspecies Distinction” section because it was mostly a physical description section that I thought would fit better in a “Morphology” section at the beginning. I rearranged the order of some sections, placing “Parental Care” directly after the “Life Cycle” section because I think it fits more logically there. I also made several brief grammatical corrections throughout the piece and changed some of the headings (ex: changed name of “Food resources” section to “Diet” and “Life History” to “Life Cycle”). Overall, I really enjoyed this article though! Geluck.t (talk) 20:34, 24 April 2024 (UTC)
