This
editThis sentence could use some work:
"There is a controversial about the patients suffering chronic respiratory insufficiency, and the so-called "paradoxical effect" of oxygen: the patient's body is used with oxygen lack and a massive saturation can lead alter the spontaneous breathing." 4.252.4.110 01:49, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
I'm not sure why this entry is much more than a dictionary entry. It sure seems like overkill to me. -- Tim
I think malaise is treated too much like a medical emergency here! It sure isn't, most of the time... -- Guruclef
The whole pronunciation/dictionary definition part is stolen straight from Merriam-Webster. I'm deleting it. Mahern 00:00, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
External link to some guy's blog?
editWhy is there an external link to a blog that has nothing to do with mailaise (other than the name)? I don't think he needs us advertising his personal blog for him.
Disclaimer ought to be posted
editTrue, you would have to be an idiot to spend twenty minutes searching through Wikipedia for what to do in case of an emergency, but some idiot will probably do just that instead of calling for emergency assistance. I think this page ought to contain a note somewhere stating that this is for educational purposes only and in no way should it be used when immediate medical attention is required. In other words, if you have a friend who is pale and/or blue in the face, stop reading and call 911. Trixen 03:53, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

First responder
editI haven't gone through the history for this section, but whoever wrote it should have used more than just a spellchecker. Spelling errors, using the completely wrong word(alter instead of after), awkward phrasing, etc. are all present. I suggest a rewrite of this section by someone who has more than a basic understanding of english and a more than basic understanding of the content, or lacking that, someone who can use the existing information effectively. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.36.131.173 (talk) 04:06, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
This is hardly a "constructive" comment, but I can't help commenting that the whole proposition of this page, culminating with first-responder guidlines for malaise, and the listing of "the plague" and "HIV" as associated conditions, is, well, uh-hmmm... pretty ridiculous. How about starting over? AtomAnt (talk) 15:23, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
Whenever I am back from hiatus, I'll try and fix this page. I'm think I'm going to have to remove the first responder information, it's not appropriate in my opinion. Jdoelder (talk) 14:52, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
Recent Edits
editHi, I recently edited this page. The content box needs to be changed to reflect this, and I cannot find it in the coding. Jdoelder (talk) 13:31, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
Medical response sections
editI removed them both. They appear to be general procedures for care in an emergency situation. WP:NOTHOWTO issues aside, there was no specific connection to the subject of the article. Doctorfluffy (robe and wizard hat) 00:27, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
Large edit
editI decided to "be bold" and remove the section of related conditions, as well as the bizarre reference to ehlers-danlos. It's nonsense to have such a non-exhaustive list for what is - as the article itself mentions - a totally unspecific symptom. 137.54.30.49 (talk) 13:57, 10 October 2013 (UTC)
