Speedy tag
edit(Kitkatsavvy (talk) 23:41, 10 March 2008 (UTC))I have created this page NOT because of any advertising of any sort, BUT because I believe that the work that Malcolm Douglas has done in making wildlife documentaries over nearly FORTY years SHOULD be recognised with a wiki page! He has made over 50 films and tv shows, and has made shows for "The World Around Us", and on Australian TV you ALWAYS see his documentaries on tv fishing and knowing bush tucker and surviving in the bush.
Let me repeat this AGAIN - I did NOT make this page to advertise - I MADE it because he is an Australian who has contributed to teaching other Australians in his documentaries how to survive in the bush!
If Corey Worthington can get his OWN wiki page for holding a stupid party, surely Malcolm Douglas DESERVES his OWN wiki!
PLEASE don't delete! I made this article a stub BECAUSE I don't currently have ANY other references at the moment - that is WHY I asked for more references from other people! PLEASE keep Malcolm Douglas!
- The speedy was already declined. I have removed your hangon tag, as it wasn't needed. --lifebaka (Talk - Contribs) 00:35, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
Death Report
editThis is all so far, It is a bit thin so perhaps hold off until it is more solid. (I have been reverted already! Fair enough) It has been reported on TV by Channel 9 TV News in Sydney though. "Malcolm Douglas killed in car crash: report" watoday.com.au, 23 September 2010 - 9:21AM, Retrieved 23 September 2010 - 220.101 talk\Contribs 01:45, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
- See WP:CRYSTAL. We don't include unverifiable speculation. So hold off editing the article until it's confirmed (if it ever is).--Forward Unto Dawn 01:50, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
- No worries! Unfortunately, seems more 'solid' now http://news.ninemsn.com.au/national/8001750/malcolm-douglas-killed-in-car-crash but
- "WA police reported that a vehicle crashed into a tree on Mr Douglas' property at 6.29am today WST. Police would not confirm the identity of the occupant as next of kin were still being notified." brisbanetimes.com

- Hmmm, it's not looking good. But personally I don't think "sources close to Douglas" is verifiable. (Just FYI to those who think I've violated the 3RR, there is an exception in regards to the removal of unsourced material on biographies of living persons).--Forward Unto Dawn 02:14, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
- Concur. I should have waited until the Police verify it!. It just might turn out it wasn't him! 220.101 talk\Contribs 02:25, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
- Confirmed now.--Forward Unto Dawn 03:52, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
There are no reports that Douglas 'lost control' of the car he was driving. Until forensics or an autopsy is carried out, wikipedia should not report this.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 211.31.233.99 (talk) 04:20, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
BAREFOOT BUSHMAN
editGoogle "Barefoot Bushman" and most of the hits are for Rob Bredl including Bredl's official site at www.barefootbushman.com and barefootbushman.com.au. Is there a source for Malcolm Douglas being called the Barefoot Bushman that isn't probably sourced from this Wiki article in the first place? Eliahna (talk) 03:26, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
- Good question, but Rob Bredl? Who? Can't say I've heard of him, and he can't be too notable, or he would surely have a Wikpedia article? . Seriously I can't recall any particular 'nick-name' being applied to the Aussie Malcolm Douglas. As there is no source then perhaps it should be deleted from the article? - 220.101 talk\Contribs 04:52, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
- I have heard of the title used to refer to him, will try to track donw a citationm that isnt from the recent news event. Gnangarra 05:15, 23 September 2010 (UTC)

- Agree. I've searched for a pre-death WP:RS and found nought. –Moondyne 07:02, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
