Translation of name

Isn't the notion of Malmöhus län as the "County of Malmö" too slappy for an article with encyclopaedic ambitions? Malmöhus is the Castle of Malmö, not the town of Malmö. --Family Olofsson 16:35, 10 Aug 2003 (UTC)

Established 1890?? Must be totally wrong.

Very strang indeed. The List of governors of Malmöhus County lists governors of this county between 1719 and 1996. Gotthard Wachtmeister was governor 1880-1892, so it could certainly not have been establihed in 1890. --Muniswede (talk) 11:36, 27 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
