• having qualified by receiving accreditation — This basically says "he qualified by qualifying". How did he actually qualify?

    • This now reads "having qualified by participating at the 2008 British Open Athletics Championships." Was participation, alone, in these championships sufficient to qualify?         • That doesn't make much sense, and it doesn't seem to be what the source says: "Recently he took part in a competition abroad, at the British Open Championships for competitors falling under his own disablement category, where he received accreditation to take part in these forthcoming Paralymics."
