offeree/offerer
editThe second paragraph says "Typically, the offeree remains accountable for the functionality and performance." Nowhere in the article does it say who the offeree is. I assume that it's the managed services provider, since the client is the offerer. I'm not a subject matter expert (that's why I'm looking on Wikipedia), but it seems to me that it should be the offeror who remains accountable. Would appreciate clarification. Commercial spam masquerading as reliable references
editThis page appears to be a spam magnet with multiple vendors participating in helping this article suck. Since cleaning this crap out has proved controversial, I will document here exactly why the following should be removed as.
- virtualization External links of this nature are absolutely prohibited by WP:ELPOINTS. If PCS Systems is responsible for this, then they should be ashamed of themselves for hijacking a legitimate link to virtualization.
- One of the most common areas that managed services helps organizations is in their battle against cyber attacks[1]. The text is redundant to an earlier sentence in the same paragraph that lists security as a common managed service. I expect most reasonable readers would consider battling cyber attacks to be one form of security. Furthermore the reference is a marketing blog that includes very profitable suggestions such as As cyber threats get ever more sophisticated, it is best to leave managing them to the experts and as such is unsuitable wherever a reliable source would be expected. This is a violation of WP:REFSPAM, and if ITForce is responsible for its inclusion here they should be ashamed of themselves.
- common managed services[2] This is now a 404 page, but judging by the title, it was worthless as a reliable source even when it was live. Even as a primary source,it is fundamentally incapable of supporting a list of common services unless it also discussed Fujisoft's competitors. If Fujisoft is responsible for this, they should be ashamed of themselves. Furrykiller (talk) 03:10, 26 October 2017 (UTC)

Small medium business (SMB) managed service providers
editConsidering half of the economy is SMB, and they are considerably more numerous, wouldn't it make sense to have a paragraph addressing that instead of focused just on the "Main players"?
