editThis page was requested under Culture and Fine Arts. It is an adapted translation from the Spanish Wikipedia. [1] is an ArtDaily.org notice about his most recent exhibition that calls him "one of the most distinguished artists of the last half-century from Spain’s artistic scene." Thomas Lorens wrote a monograph on Valdés/Valdéz [2]. He and the artistic group he founded are mentioned on the es.wikipedia.org article on Pop Art. If's it's to be deleted, take off also the redirect at Manolo Valdes (without the accent). Pishogue 23:16, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
- Being a translation from Spanish Wikipedia gives it quite a bit of credibility. Article needs some more sources (who says that he "introduced to Spain a form of expression that combined political and social obligations with humor and irony"?) but the subject passes the Google test and he also is part of an underrepresented field of study on Wikipedia. I'm removing the good faith speedy, at the very least nomination should go to AFD, but with more sources I think the article can be quite solid. — Edward Z. Yang(Talk) 00:26, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
