Swimmers
editSwimmers dont swim faster with shaved legs, its a common misconception even among swimmers! In fact the hair streamlines the body, having shaved legs just means they can feel the water faster and so react quicker.

Cyclists
editOf course it's a good way to cycle faster. Without hair on legs, there's less friction from the air so you go faster.
- Are there any studies that show that shaving improves athletic performance for cyclists or swimmers?
- I'd heard that cyclists shave their legs because it makes bandaids and athletic tape easier to apply and removed. I can't imagine that a little hair would have an effect on drag. -Will Beback 22:44, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
Islam
editThis article can't seem to decide if it is only about the neologism of the title, or about the general topic. If we're covering the general topic of removing male body hair, then we should mention Muslim practices too. [1] Will Beback 20:58, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
Pop culture references - not all same thing
editMany of the pop culture references seem to fit better under some other heading, particularly the one about the Amish man. If it was not something he chose to do, then I'm not sure how well it fits the topic, which seems to be that of men opting to do this for aesthetic or comfort reasons (though those include appealing to others).Lawikitejana 02:37, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

editCharacter CJ mentions 'manscaping' in the US sitcom 8 Simple Rules in an episode called 'The Sub'
Last Paragraph
editCould someone please remove the feminist thing? I don't think that's serious; it reminds me of Jackie Curtis' character from Women In Revolt.
Links
editThe "shave everywhere" link is just an ad for philips-norelco. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.143.237.147 (talk) 08:19, 23 December 2006 (UTC).
Title name could help
editThe article shouldn't be deleted, but perhaps a better article title would make sense (ie: Male body hair modification or Body hair grooming). Of course, since no one will ever find the article "Manscaping" should redirect. This article could definately be expanded better.
Removal
editThis all is just silly trivia, with no citations anyway! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Deadfall1968 (talk • contribs) 21:14, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
