Manvel Gasratian → Manvel Gasratjan – As he was an academic with scholarly publications before 1995, to the limited extent his name appears in romanized form in the literature it follows the earlier transliteration of "Я" as "ja" as expressed in the first three columns of Romanization_of_Russian#Transliteration_table. Examples: Google Scholar and Google Books. This request is supported by WP:COMMONNAME. 24.151.10.165 (talk) 17:41, 30 January 2017 (UTC) --Relisting. - Support As proposer. There was some brief discussion of this in the recent AfD discussion linked above but no consensus was expressed. 24.151.10.165 (talk) 17:41, 30 January 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose -- Manvel Gasratian is a typical rendition of Armenian names. K.e.coffman (talk) 19:18, 9 February 2017 (UTC)
- Support. Seems to be the common name in English sources. Only English-language source in the article uses the proposed name and it is marginally more common in GBooks and GScholar. Jenks24 (talk) 09:19, 19 February 2017 (UTC)
