Iraq

edit
  • 2003 - US Invades Iraq.

That was March 19, no? I'm not deleting (maybe there's some technicality I'm not aware of), but if someone else wants to, they should.

Virus

edit
  • 1999 - Melissa virus was released to the Internet, panic ensues. This is quite significant since its panic signaled the awakening of Internet security.

Blessed Hugo?

edit

I'm confused; February 10 is also listed on Wikipedia as being the liturgical feast of Blessed Hugo. Does Blessed Hugo have two feasts? Geoffrey.landis 15:25, 28 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Wajiha Khuwaja?

edit

Who the heck is this? Listed under born in 1990, unlinked, and turning up no useful results on a google search. I very much doubt this is an important person. 137.186.222.166 04:47, 29 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hitler's votes

edit

1936 - In Germany, dictator Hitler receives 99% of the votes in a referendum to ratify Germany's illegal reoccupation of the Rhineland, receiving 5 little itty bitty votes out of 45.5 million unregistered voters. In 1933 all political parties and political liberty had been abolished. ~Huh?~ propose to re-write or erase entirely. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 192.251.125.85 (talk) 23:09, 29 March 2007 (UTC).Reply

Earth Hour

edit

Hi. Why is the March 29, 2008 Earth Hour not notable? It is more notable than the Marth 31, 2007 one, because this is the first global Earth Hour. The article origninally mentioned a March 29, 2007 Earth Hour, but I fixed it because it was incorrect and the first Earth Hour was actually on March 31, 2007, and that was in Sydney only. I could list it under observances, but the problem is that this is the first Earth Hour to take place on March 29, and I don't know what the policy is here, but this event for March 29 is only a day old, and only happened once so far, and it shouldn't be under observances for March 31 either, because it no longer occurs on March 31. I think it's likely for it to be done again next year, but WP:CRYSTAL, and it only happened once on this day in history. I think it should be listed under observances on March 29 only after the 2009 Earth Hour, when listing it as a 2008 and 2009 Earth Hour under events will become redundant. It should be added for March 31 under events as well because that was the only March 31 Earth Hour, the one that occured in Sydney in 2007. How should this be added? Thanks. ~AH1(TCU) 21:42, 30 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

It isn't reasonable to list it on every day that it has occurred. If it does not recur on the same date each year, it can't go under observances. The event does seem to have some global relevance (but this is not usually evident only a day after - see WP:DOY), but generally, such events are listed on the date of their first occurrence. If it ever settles on a static date, it can be added to observances. We won't know this until at least next year so I would suggest only the listing on the date of first occurrence. Even if that first one was not global, it lead to a global event and it has an article to support it. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 03:52, 31 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Removal of birth entries

edit

I've had removed some insufficiently globally notable entries with few or articles to other Wikipedias. Shiesmine (talk) 15:48, 16 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Removed UK Triggering of Article 50

edit

I removed it because it hasn't happened yet. Someone can rewrite the entry to say that a letter was written that will trigger Article 50 on March 28. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.189.221.130 (talk) 22:44, 28 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
