Is the word Mardy used in Danish or old Norse as it appears to only be used in the old Danelaw areas of the East Midlands.
The word has a different meaning in the North - West - It means over-sensitive, easily upset. Also often used as 'Mard' without the 'y' Grumpypierre (talk) 12:38, 23 June 2011 (UTC)
