This page should not be speedy deleted because...
edit- Any botanist who has named new species (or other taxa) and so has an author abbreviation in IPNI is intrinsically notable. Her author abbreviation is already wikilinked from the taxobox of Hippeastrum iguazuanum; it's important that the sometimes cryptic standard author abbreviations are linked to assist readers. - Then the page should be adjusted to reflect this, with appropriate documentation. It needs to be explained so that it is immediately apparent to a lay reader that this person is significant. Prof. Mc (talk) 21:21, 8 May 2014 (UTC)
- Actually this page follows the standard format for botanical authorities, and is listed on the page that deals with these authorities. We are working to complete that project.--Michael Goodyear (talk) 23:21, 8 May 2014 (UTC)
This page should not be speedily deleted because we need brief bios of botanists whose names are used as botanical authorities. I will take this up as a matter of principle at WikiProject Plants. --Michael Goodyear (talk) 21:24, 8 May 2014 (UTC)
