This page is listed under the criteria of recreated, previous deletion after discussion -- but the page has never been deleted before. Something is not correct here. Rmhermen (talk) 18:07, 10 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
G4 should only be used if the article was deleted as the result of an AfD discussion. Wikipedia:CSD#G4 states: "This does not apply to content that has been undeleted via deletion review, deleted via proposed deletion, or to speedy deletions (although in that case, the previous speedy criterion, or other speedy criteria, may apply)." -- Eastmain (talk) 23:06, 10 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

I put up this page, and I have several reasons why. Marguerite Abouet is an up and coming author of graphic novels. She has already won several awards, of which I plan on adding to the page once I get all of my information centralized. She is not as well know in the U.S. yet because her books are starting to arrive. It is also hard to find information on her for a report as I had to do several weeks ago. I thought putting in a centralized location like wikipedia would be benefitial. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Matty 2k (talk • contribs) 20:02, 10 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
In my view, the reviews and otehr coverage (including the two reviews that I just added) are sufficient to establish notability. -- Eastmain (talk) 23:01, 10 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
She's received an avalanche of accolades and press for her first collection. It's hardly like she's some self-published shmo on Amazon.com or something. Ford MF (talk) 18:09, 15 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Please describe and cite this "avalanche of accolades." I took the liberty of fixing the link to the WSJ article, which is, at least, a reputable source, and fixing some of the awful ref formatting in this article. It appears that this graphic novel series has received some notice, but you need to spell it out clearly and cite the sources. The article still does not make a clear case for the notability of this author. I also recommend that you go through the article and try to clean it up and improve the prose so that it is clear that this is not a vanity article. -- Ssilvers (talk) 18:42, 15 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
