Again, can someone explain why this tag was assigned? Bob (talk) 21:21, 2 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Okay, I added an in-text link to the page on the discovery of subharmonics. Bob (talk) 21:32, 2 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

I have to say that I doubt that she was the first to discover subharmonics. I had a friend in the 90's tell me about subharmonics for the double bass, and his teacher in France could play subharmonic scales by manipulating the pressure of the bow. I will give her credit for incorporating subharmonics in her violin music (which is very difficult to control especially on the spot) and possibly discovered them on her own as she claims, but I don't think that it had never been seen before she started doing it. The article has been rewritten to read, "She is credited with 'introducing' the use of violin subharmonics," which is supported by citations featuring quotes which clearly explain that she was not the first to ever discover them.
If someone feels that this wording is inappropriate, please use the inline tag {{Verify source}} after the one claim, rather than {{BLP sources}} on the whole article. Hyacinth (talk) 21:38, 8 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
