Maria von Trapp

I have removed the mention of Maria in The Sound of Music (which was under "Fictional Characters"), and added a sentence about Maria von Trapp in People>Given Name. As The Sound of Music is based on real life, it didn't seem right to have the the character listed as fictional.

Mary and Maria confusion

On part of the article, it says that maria is the 7th most popular name for women of all ages in the US. Statistically speaking that is impossible, I am almost one hundred percent sure that the statistic refers to Mary, and I have also been unable to look at the source as the link is broken. Maria has become very common in the last twenty years, not to mention the high percentage of Hispanics who bear the name. Mary used to be one of the most common names for the longest time, but trends change and I believe Maria is a lot more common than Mary nowadays. Maria as last name

I can think of two people with Wikipedia entries who have the last name Maria: Tatjana Maria the German tennis player, and Angel di Maria, the Argentine footballer. There must be others also. Redundant links
