editThis edit is properly sourced. Please cite a reason for its removal. Bulbous (talk) 05:14, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
- I'm not questioning your citation methods; I'm arguing that the edit itself was one-sided and selective. Anyway, it's a moot point now. CJCurrie (talk) 05:31, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
An article currently in the online Wikipedia about Canadian politician Maria Augimeri is poorly written and very biased - probably slanderous. It certainly gives Wikipedia a bad name. I don't know anyone involved and have no personal bias. This article is just terrible from an ethical and academic point of view:

- How about stating what you feel is wrong with it? Bulbous (talk) 14:13, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
Augimeri's books
editAnyone know what her three books are called? I could only find references for two. Also I couldn't find any mention of her poetry. EncyclopediaUpdaticus (talk) 21:34, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
December 2010
editRecent edits by Yoda Smith to Maria's Augimeri's page are being changed by Jack Cox and Simon P. Strange since the edits and added information are strictly factual and the links to the sources- well known media- are active and up to date. Why are Mr. Cox and Mr. P compelled to make the changes? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Yoda Smith (talk • contribs) 21:11, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
- You've been reverted by several editors, that is because the additions you made clearly have an axe to grind. Yes, they are referenced, but it's also filled with editorializing and selective use of quotes to build a very negative picture of Augimeri. - SimonP (talk) 16:59, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
- The same goes for saying she was "oblivious" in her post election comments. How is that not editorializing? It presents her victory as some sort of community rejection. She did still win, as she has for over twenty years. - SimonP (talk) 17:57, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
Augimeri's election prediction
editRecent edits have repeatedly used this quote by Augimeri: "Come October 26 you’ll be sitting here asking me what I attribute my gigantic win to." While she won the election, she just barely eked out a win over Cusimano. I think her misread of the election is notable and should be included in the article. I put this here for comment because it is part of recent reverted edits. EncyclopediaUpdaticus (talk) 13:52, 6 January 2011 (UTC)
- I think it's problematic to have quotes like that out of context. She had won massively every previous election, and back in January no one knew how the race would play out and that Rob Ford's vision would predominate and that he would put a lot of resources in races like Cusimano's. The phrasing makes it seem arrogant and misguided. While it was arrogant, pretty much any intelligent observer would have made the exact same prediction last January. - SimonP (talk) 17:43, 6 January 2011 (UTC)
