There is a CBC article that mentions a Maria Manna—who appears to be this individual—running in the Cowichan-Malahat-Langford, BC, riding. [1] I've removed text about the election that went beyond what the CBC said. However, it would seem something should be said about the candidacy. Are we comfortable that this is the Maria Manna who ran? Superficial evidence, like the deletion of this person's FB page, indicate yes. And if we are sure it's her, we need to make sure we include only what can be backed up in reliable sources. —C.Fred (talk) 21:46, 3 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

This person is a local celebrity at best, why is there an article for her on wikipedia?
Furthermore it reads as if it was self written by the subject themselve..
A nomination for deletion of this article may well be successful. There is a bit of news coverage of her, e.g., she was a 9/11 truther[2], but this is not someone i would have created an article on.--Milowent • hasspoken18:23, 3 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
I have had a positive experience interacting with you in the past, as a reasonable and constructive editor.
Anyways I would bring forward a deletion nomination, because I find the notability of this person low and the quality of the article largely seems to be self promotional.
