Inaccurate statement

Can somebody please explain this to me, as it doesn't make any sense. "After Vermeer's death, Maria Thins stated that she used her income to help support the struggling painter and his growing family" What struggling painter? Vermeer? isn't he dead? Should it write instead "After Vermeer's death, Maria Thins used her income to help support the her sons family"

Yes, the article is in the process of being updated. I added "Ten of their eleven children were still underage when Vermeer died. Catharine continued to live at her mother's house with their children.[25]" and I made an edit to the uncited content here stating that Thins supported her daughter's family after Vermeer's death. I still need to find, but know I will, a source and page for that.–CaroleHenson (talk) 17:12, 30 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Drmies, I had a large edit that I had been working on that I needed to lay over the article, backing out your edit. I see you made an edit here. I have been working through the article and I left uncited content while I worked through the sources. I still have a few more identified sources + I need to finish with Bailey.

If your question was about Cornelia's death, that is now corrected and cited.

If you question is about Willem, I am unable to see the Montias source at JSTOR, but it is generally covered by Bailey. I have already added a citation for that paragraph in my most recent edit.–CaroleHenson (talk) 17:03, 30 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
