The cited source mentions that Marianne's family was initially spared deportation due to connections with the Abwehr, and their eventual change of fortunes was due to the demise of the Abwehr. I don't have time to dig deeper into this now and am leaving this here more as a reminded to me than for any other reason, but if someone else wants to take on the task they are more than welcome to do so. -- LWGtalk21:48, 5 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
