She was from New France. Some of the time she lived in parts of New France that are now the US. I think at the absolute earliest we should not allow anyone to be called Canadian who lived in areas before they came under British control. I really do not think we can justify pre-1763 (or maybe 1758) Canadian categories at all.John Pack Lambert (talk) 15:42, 2 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
