This is silly, her name is Marie Anne de Bourbon and that is that! She was no more, no less. Just because User:Surtsicna does not like dates that is not a reason for her to have a misleading name. I will sort out a move to a correct name Prince LouisPhilippeCharles (talk) 16:09, 2 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Her name is not "Marie Anne de Bourbon (1678–1718)" either. She is not the only Marie Anne de Bourbon so we obviously need some sort of disambiguation. I am not the only one who prefers titles over years. That's a general preferance of Wiki community. I have already informed LouisPhilippeCharles about this discussion. Thus, it is not true that I moved it just because I do not like dates. Surtsicna (talk) 16:27, 2 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

married in spite?

edit
Despite Louis XIV had given permission for the marriage, the duc and duchesse du Maine carried out the marriage.

Puzzling (and ungrammatical). Did the king authorize the marriage or not? Was his permission necessary? Did the king expect to host the marriage? I'm removing the sentence pending explanation. —Tamfang (talk) 21:45, 23 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
