Change in photo
editUser:Yawnfully Yellow just changed the photo in the lead [1] with an edit summary saying "better photo", but I do not think it is a better photo. The photo is overly dark, Sadi Carnot is looking to the side, and the beard is so large, or dark, that it obscures his face. The photo that was there, while slightly hazy, shows a clearer view of Sadi Carnot's face. Corinne (talk) 14:48, 8 September 2015 (UTC)
- Agree. I've reinserted the old image. — Chris Woodrich (talk) 23:24, 8 September 2015 (UTC)

Merge Proposal
editI propose merging the contents in the article Assassination of Sadi Carnot with the article for Sadi Carnot himself. After all, the latter article contains more information than the former, so there doesn't seem to be a need for a separate article on the smaller topic. As a relatively newer editor however, I wanted to see if this was the right way of going about this process before merging the articles together. Leafy46 (talk) 21:21, 28 October 2022 (UTC)
- This is the right way to start a discussion, yes, but as for its merits, there are more than enough sources linked within the article to justify a separate article on the assassination of a major head of state. For context, see the depth in fr:Assassinat de Sadi Carnot. czar 22:30, 28 October 2022 (UTC)
- As it's been a week, I'm going to remove the merger as it seems like there is a negative consensus, but I'll replace it with Template:Expand language Leafy46 (talk) 21:15, 4 November 2022 (UTC)
Recommend adding detail from French Aticle
editThe man's 7 year presidency of France gets a very short amount of text not about his assassination while his French entry has a great deal more detail. I would advise a francophone editor consider taking detail from there and adding it here. 2603:7000:6040:42E8:7807:75C5:5880:4AFE (talk) 03:26, 4 February 2023 (UTC)
