Prod

edit

Hi @The Erethizontidae: I had to remove the prod off this article. It is heavily referenced and the works are in the Tate and the Met Museums, so they likely highly notable, worthy of an article. What exactly are the reasons you want the article removed? scope_creepTalk 14:46, 4 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

The article reads like a dramatic advertisement, not an encyclopedia. Many of the sources do not substantiate the claims the article makes and some of the claims feel like they should be on Warhol or Monroe's own pages (if they are accurate).
Read the article in its entirety and then compare it to this article or this one. I think you'll see what I mean. This article is longer than the one about the Marilyn Diptych which I'm pretty sure is the more important art piece. The Erethizontidae (talk) 15:25, 4 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
I see what you mean. All that stuff at the bottom, unnecessary embellishment. I would have a go at doing a proper copyedit on it, or possible send it to Afd. If the references are bad, they should come out. Be bold. Its looks a wee bit a puff piece. scope_creepTalk 15:30, 4 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
That Gerard Malanga section needs to go. Its non-specific. scope_creepTalk 15:32, 4 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Further to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Untitled from Marilyn Monroe, I propose converting this to an article on the whole series. Thoughts? Best title? Johnbod (talk) 22:26, 11 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
