This is a good article
editThanks Jaen466 for creating this page! Dr Marimba Ani is a powerful mind, a critical scholar who deserves to be known. She helps understand the responsability that rests upon intellectuals in the oppression of people as well as in their liberation.Lusala lu ne Nkuka Luka (talk) 15:04, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks so much, and good to hear from you! Do you know when she stopped teaching at Hunter College? And do you happen to know her birth date? I am so glad I don't seem to have gotten major things wrong! The article will be on the main page in a few days' time; if we could find a source that gives her birth date by then, that would be great. Best, --JN466 15:09, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
Picture
editHello Jaen466! I am now a bit rare in Wikipedia. I do come from time to time to read. I didn't find the information you asked me for about Marimba Ani. But can you or somebody else find a picture of her to be put in the article? --Lusala lu ne Nkuka Luka (talk) 13:39, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
- I've had a look around, but unfortunately I cannot find a free picture that would pass Wikipedia:Non-free_content#Images. This image is widely used, but would probably still fail Wikipedia's non-free content criteria, and there is nothing with a Creative Commons license on Flickr. The best thing would be to snap an image of her at a lecture or literature event, and upload that. --JN466 16:36, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
