Joe Foss Field
editI cannot find any official source (aside from the FAA airports database, which has more than a few errors) to say that the airfield is named Joe Foss Field. There is a Joe Foss Field in South Dakota (ICAO: KFSD). Is it possible that this was a mixup? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.154.3.250 (talk) 14:55, 27 May 2020 (UTC)

Missing reference to a fatal F/A-18 crash & & pilot death in 1985 at Miramar NAS
editHello Fellow Wikipedians,
While in living in San Diego in the 1980s, I recalled an incident not listed in the "Crashes" section: It was significant because of the (killed) pilot's role in shooting-down 2 Libyan MiG-23s in 1981. The incident was reported in the Los Angeles Times: (see https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1985-12-04-me-470-story.html ) regarding the crash that occurred on December 3, 1985. Was this left-out for a reason (other than simply not found)? If appropriate, would someone kindly add it into the article (it's not something I've ever done)? Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.66.140.17 (talk) 22:56, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
- Just added it. Thank for bringing it up.Looper5920 (talk) 15:11, 27 May 2020 (UTC)
