Talk:Mario Balotelli/Archive 2

Non Azzurri, June 2017

The article states that his last call-up for the national squad was December 2014. The lead made him sound like a current member or recent call-up. That's been changed. Tapered (talk) 07:22, 4 June 2017 (UTC)

Just looked at Azzurri website. 10/16 Ventura mentions Balotelli's return to form. 12/16 Ventura says he'll talk to Balotelli. Has not been called up since. Not a member of the national team. Tapered (talk) 21:40, 7 June 2017 (UTC)
Look at the discussion titled "No longer in the national team" above. Per WP:CRYSTAL. He is an active player and can receive a call up at any time. By closing off the date range it implies he has ceased connections with the national team and is not considered in callups, which is false. Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 22:01, 7 June 2017 (UTC)
"...it implies he has ceased connections with the national team and is not considered in callups." Wrong. It means that he's not on the team now, and hasn't been called up recently enough to be considered a member of the team. Being a possible team member ≠ being a team member. Tapered (talk) 22:23, 7 June 2017 (UTC)
Ok, I'd agree with you on that, to remove it from the lead, but I think the date range in the infobox should be kept open. Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 22:53, 7 June 2017 (UTC)
Done. He hasn't retired or been officially dismissed. Tapered (talk) 00:03, 8 June 2017 (UTC)

@Vaselineeeeeeee:, why does the table with international goals have to be collapsed? The way that I've put it is the way that it is shown in the most football players' biographies. It's okay if it's over 30 goals, but 14 is not really a problem. — SimplyFreddie (talk) 23:16, 29 December 2018 (UTC)

I guess it doesn’t have to be, but there was no reason to remove the FIGC source. They recently updated their website so the links are broken, but we’ve fixed most of them. I would do the same similar to Sebastian Giovinco as an example, but can’t seem to search the player on my mobile right now. Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 03:09, 30 December 2018 (UTC)
I saw the link was broken, but forgot to archive, sorry. You mean the table about international goals should be like Giovinco's? — SimplyFreddie (talk) 09:12, 30 December 2018 (UTC)
Archiving the stats link which is bound to change is not ideal since, well, the stats will change while an archived link will not. As I said, I don’t mind whether it’s collapsed or not, but I meant the link should be updated like it has been done on Giovinco, the new FIGC link. I can’t seem to access it properly by mobile right now when trying to search for another player, but will do it in s couple days if you can’t. Headings

There are errors with the page headings under 'Youth Career', because they're all sub-headings of it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:8003:4493:DF00:3C27:995A:FD47:9D0 (talk) 12:39, 28 May 2020 (UTC)

I request to edit Mario Balotelli's Wikipedia page as he is a cracking plur who needs to be acknowledged correctly, I believe that I have some exclusive information that this page currently does not have. Thanks for your considerations, Mario Balotelli himself. MarioBalotelliOfficial (talk) 09:23, 1 December 2020 (UTC)

@MarioBalotelliOfficial: Please be specific about what changes you want to make to the article. Note that Wikipedia articles must be written neutrally, and that they must be verifiable, and so can't be based on private information or trusting a particular editor. Dual-citizenship

Since Mario has a double citizenship it seems to me right to report it in the biographical notes, someone has something in contrary? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.183.241.131 (talkcontribs)

Where exactly do you want this change to be made? Nehme1499 12:29, 6 September 2021 (UTC)

In the beginning sentence add that he plays for the Italy national team. 192.184.163.106 (talk) 00:50, 26 January 2022 (UTC)

He hasn't played in almost 4 years, I would wait for him to be actually called up to the final squad. Nehme1499 01:14, 26 January 2022 (UTC)

typo in "style of play" article second paragraph

"as well as his for his poor movement and work-rate" should be changed to "as well as for his poor movement and work-rate" Alterran (talk) 09:34, 3 March 2022 (UTC)

The page says "Balotelli no longer drinks alcohol", however that clearly is not true: https://www.mundodeportivo.com/us/en/20240701/694002/mario-balotelli-speaks-out-after-drunken-viral-video.html 83.64.97.167 (talk) 07:52, 3 July 2024 (UTC)
