Merger proposal
editI propose that Scanno Boy be merged into Mario Giacomelli. The photograph article cites insufficient sources to justify a stand alone article. The content in the photograph article can easily be explained in the context of the photographer article, and the photographer article is small enough that the merging of the photograph article will not make it too large. The merge may temporarily give the photograph undue weight within the biography of the photographer, but there is ample scope for expanding other parts of the photographer article, which would redress the balance. --Worldbruce (talk) 21:44, 30 August 2017 (UTC)
- I agree and support this merger. While Scanno Boy is certainly an important image it is best seen in the context of Giacomelli's entire oeuvre. Be bold. Jamesmcardle(talk) 00:23, 31 August 2017 (UTC)
- I agree, good idea. -Lopifalko (talk) 08:22, 31 August 2017 (UTC)
Unsupported value judgements
editThe article makes unsupported claims about what are Giacomelli's 'most successful' series and artworks. These might be supportable where sales figures or frequency of exhibition are quoted, but otherwise are merely opinion on the part of the writer. Jamesmcardle(talk) 00:23, 31 August 2017 (UTC)
