Why is MAKO in caps?
editWhy is MAKO in caps? It it's an acronym, this should be explained at the beginning of the lede. There is no mention of "MAKO" in the entire article. Holy (talk) 23:17, 19 October 2017 (UTC)
- As far as I can tell, the guy who renamed this page (User:Matrek) just made it up on the spot. The only semi-reputable source I could find that uses the name "MAKO" is NavWeaps, who apparently got it from us (first reference to "MAKO" was two months after the rename, after which point they also started using Matrek's similarly unsourced nickname for the Mark 50). Unless anybody can find a better source, this page should be renamed to "Mark 46 torpedo". Asdfzxc920 (talk) 08:07, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
