Proper last name pronunciation
editThe pronunciation for the last name of the player is completely wrong. The Portuguese "nh" is equivalent to the Spanish "ñ" and "gn" in Italian. Therefore, the "nh" in the last name is to be pronounced like mañana in Spanish and gnocchi in Italian. Cana is not an equivalent and it's just another instance of butchering a language that is not English, particularly by native English speakers because they have very limited knowledge of most languages, in particular, in terms of phonetics and diacritical marks. Broadcasters regularly butcher the last name pronouncing it as Cana. That is wrong, no matter how long have been in the business. This is even more improper knowing that player has a Portuguese heritage which confirms how the last name should be pronounced. It's not even as if the last name could not be pronounced by English speakers.
