Clean Up
editI did some major clean up on this article today, but it still needs a lot of work from someone willing to look up references and improve the prose. It could be a LOT more encyclopedic. I removed text that was extraneous, unreferenced, fanpov or contentious, but more needs to be done. Best wishes! This is a worthy article about a noted and knowledgeable economist, but the article needs work. AlaskaMike (talk) 23:10, 15 July 2010 (UTC)
Haines Bottom
editHe may be most famous to regular viewers for the "Haines Bottom" at 9:47am on March 10, 2009, just one day after the actual bottom during the financial crisis. It was of note because he had not yet made such proclamations. http://www.ocregister.com/articles/news-301907-mark-haines.html
Controversy
editI edited this section to remove the word "flustered" because it seems like an editorial judgment. What does everyone think of removing this section altogether? Other than a few isolated blogs, I don't see sources calling this a controversy? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.242.147.135 (talk) 20:05, 12 November 2010 (UTC)
Protect
editThe tributes section currently contains vandalism. Please protect this page. Nutmegger (talk) 14:34, 25 May 2011 (UTC)
- We were able to get a week long semi-protection put on the article. I'll keep a lookout for stuff. Frank0051 (talk) 15:24, 25 May 2011 (UTC)
Cause of death?
editNot stated, although remarkably early. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.85.14.106 (talk) 20:03, 25 May 2011 (UTC)
