grammar?

edit

The word "Markhor" is Persian for "Snake Eater". The creature was featured in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, with a radio comment noting the meaning of its name.

I read this line and it made no sense to me whatsoever. With a radio comment nothing the meaning of its name

I don't even have a clue what its meant to be. Anyone?

MGS3 is a video game, during which the protagonist communicates with allies via a radio (full voice-cast quality and all). One of the allies is an expert on animal life and, when the protagonist encounters, kills and takes meat of the animal (one of the 'survivalist' requirements of the game) if he calls this person they will give a description of the animal. It is featured in MGS3 specifically for the self-referential joke (something of a hallmark of the MGS series).

Now, whether or not 'Markhor' IS actually Persian for 'Snake Eater' is another question. My answer here only speaks to the other user's comment.

I find these "zoo animal eating its food allotment" photos to be both unnatural and depressing. There are, in my opinion, too many of this type on Wikipedia. This may be because free images are often those obtained in zoos, or it might be a way of indicting the institution of zoos. In any case, I feel it enhances Wikipedia when a choice between "z.a.e.i.f.a." and a more natural-looking image favors the latter. In short, why is the new markhor photo "better" than the old one (also a zoo photo, but at a more interesting angle and with a majestic pose)? Lighting and focus seem adequate in both. I find the new photo depressing.Let us discuss.--Quisqualis (talk) 04:17, 7 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

There hasn't been any response to my request for discussion above in two weeks' time; I am replacing the most recent photo with the one it replaced.--Quisqualis (talk) 18:40, 22 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
