Talk:Marriageable age in Judaism
The contents of the Marriageable age in Judaism page were merged into Jewish views of marriage. For the contribution history and old versions of the merged article please see its history. |
Deletion discussion
editSee Talk:Child marriage in Judaism for discussion to date. Summary: Without child marriage details, there is too little information here to justify an article, as opposed to a section in Jewish marriage. I personally favor merging the unique contents into Jewish marriage or Child marriage in Judaism as appropriate, and deleting this article. --ShadowRangerRIT (talk) 19:02, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
Merger destination
editThe votes/discussion at AfD were as follows:
- 8 editors favouring somewhere specific other than Jewish views of Marriage (Atari, Bearian, Owenx, DGG, Whoosit, Jheald, Dfass, me-Newman_Luke)
- of which 2 explicitly NOT Jewish views of Marriage (Jheald, me-Newman_Luke)
- 4 favouring Jewish views of Marriage (IZAK, Yehoishaphot_Oliver, Alansohn, Avi)
- 1 favouring non-specific merge (JFW)
So by my count, that's 8 vs. 4, with the majority NOT favouring Jewish views of marriage.
The general gist of the 8 editors in the majority favouring a merge either with Child marriage in Judaism or with Marriageable age. In the latter case it has been suggested that the current content at that article should be moved to a new List of marriageable ages by country (or similar), and the article re-written as prose.
Thoughts? Newman Luke (talk) 14:44, 19 November 2009 (UTC)
- Thoughts? Since no alternative was given, and it is the only relevant candidate, and since another related article was also merged there, this was and is the logic thing to do. Now you stop edit warring, please. Debresser (talk) 11:14, 4 December 2009 (UTC)
- +1 per Debresser. -- Avi (talk) 16:02, 4 December 2009 (UTC)
