editSome of the facts and dates in the article differ from the J. Willard Marriott article.--BoyoJonesJr 19:01, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
- Also, there is nothing in this article which states when and where the first Marriott Hotel was opened. --Mrath 04:18, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
- I think that in order to rectify this article, the history of the company needs to be expanded into prose form, and some of the history from the J. Willard Marriott article needs to be pulled in. I will move this forward and attempt to fix these items. Mediathink (talk) 18:28, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- This article contradicts the Howard Johnson's article regarding the dates Marriott acquired and then split up the former HoJo restaurant/lodging chain. K7L (talk) 01:13, 29 December 2013 (UTC)
Is it worth mentioning that the split of the company may have been motivated by an expected reduction in the market value of the company's debt (by shifting virtually all of the company's debt and troubled assets to Host Marriott)?
