Rewrite needed...
editI just added plot and essay-entry templates to this article, as it reads like an essay someone wrote attempting to summerize the plot. It would seem whomever wrote this article put alot of work into it, however it's style reads more like a book report than an encyclopedia entry. The plot sections are incomprehansible unless you just read the book, as they jump back and forth through the plot with no particular logic. The themes sections are also in dire need of cleanup and referencing. darkskyz 14:32, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
"Criticism"
editWhat the hell is that crap in the section some moron called "Criticism"? It isn't even formated like the rest of the sections and it is just a list of shit that looks like book reviews, not criticisms.
Answer: I am not used with the "talk" section (and am not fluent in english), but this is evident that this is a critical bibliography. I don't see the point to write vulgarly as you do in an encyclopedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.238.202.71 (talk) 21:35, 8 January 2013 (UTC)
Homage from Kim Stanley Robinson?
editI've wondered if Kim Stanley Robinson's Red Mars contains a subtle homage to PKD in Part I where he writes
And then it was ringing midnight, and they were in the martian time slip, the thirty-nine and a half minute gap between 12:00:00 and 12:00:01, when all the clocks went blank or stopped moving. This was how the first hundred had decided to reconcile Mars's slightly longer day with the twenty-four hour clock, and the solution had proved oddly satisfactory. Every night to step for a while out of the flicking numbers, out of the remorseless sweep of the second hand...
Norbert Weiner?
editI can't help but assume that the protagonist's father is a reference to Norbert Weiner, 20th century conceptual founder of cybernetics. Mannfred's abilities in some ways strongly resemble a natural perfection of the science demonstrated through a very esoteric manner. This is common of mutant protagonists in much of Phil's writing.
Audiobook
editYou guys know that Tom Parker and Grover Gardner are the same person, right? (talk) 14:35, 25 September 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hellblazer1138 (talk • contribs) 18:34, 25 September 2010 (UTC)
