spiderman is still playable like the other 3

screenshot in versus

will you stop now?

Krista031 (talk) 01:00, 7 August 2015 (UTC)

Well, 1st of all. It's not "stop" because I'm not a child and it's not me against the world. I'm not in abuse, I'm not trying to have absolutely right. Probably you're right. Like dan61 said to you (and me), this is about sourcing the article. Someone else can come after me and undid what you done because of the lack of sources.

Here, I do not know what this screenshot is. Is it yours ? So tell us, because I find many promotionnals screenshots on google images, and this is not reality in the game. Hulk is a bot in this screenshot ? I do not know. And there is no proof for the others Hawkeye and Juggernaut. Many players has only the 7 one star which we agreed. You're the 1st one who will have this 4 players.

I insert a screenshot from the 7 characters playable in one star. This is from my account yesterday. I have erased my player's name and my alliance for obvious reasons. [1] — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.157.66.190 (talk) 09:13, 7 August 2015 (UTC)

For example, I have found a Thor One star. And you have never wrote about it. [2] For me, it's only a promotionnal screenshot but I may be wrong. What do you think about this Thor one star ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.157.66.190 (talk) 09:20, 7 August 2015 (UTC)

Where are your sources? Or proofs? Did you go on kabam forum and got response from their team? If not, why you havent? Youve been here reverting my changes for a week.

You had a hunch that smth changed. Thats it. And you allow yourself to change this article. NOT WRITE IT, CHANGE IT. So there are 2 editors who said they are playable, and you as 1 person are still right.
In a mean time, before i managed to reply you, smbdy else already changed hawkeye and spideman back. So, now there are 3 of us. Will you change it again?

Furthermore, you asked me to give you a proof, and i posted an ss. Now you are questioning validity of that, and my candour with it. Then why you bothered to ask me in a first place?! Because you are bored? Im not. Really am not.
And there are not more of you, there is only you. I am not explaining this to other readers or editors, nobody in this argument but you and me. There are other ppl editing this, they wouldve joined so far if they wanted. Stop using plural.
Is hulk a bot in this picture?! Really?! Have you even played the game? And when you 'did' play, how many times your champ was on the right side in the battle?? Try to think before coming after someones integrity. Or just try to think. Anyplace. Anytime.

No, that is not my spiderman. Like a reasonable, logical being, after i seen that someone changed this article here, i asked my ally if they have one of the champs, and if they could try to play 1v1 with them. Only few people didnt sell those 1*s in my ally, but luckily one of them few had 2 of those and he sent me ss, which i posted here.
But being an awesome mate and even better human being, even i asked for only one ss, he sent me few of them ss1 ss2 ss3 ss4, apologized for late wolverine ss, and asked if i needed it better. I said no, cause i thought im dealing with a normal person. Honest mistake.

Ive done my elaborations. With even one ss, your whole theory falls, i really dont have to prove the others. That Thor i never seen, never heard about him, so i think its normal i never mentioned it, nor have i ever changed anything about him. Do try to contact kabam about that as well.

Now, im done writing to you. If you gonna ask for another ss, to prove every champ you think doesnt exist, exists, then you know where you can go.
I think ive proven more than i need, especially since i had to prove innocence in a first place. Meanwhile, ill keep changing it until i get blocked. Then im done with editing ever, ill die of heart attack before 40.
Auf wiedersehen, my french friend, hope you have a very lucky, lucky life.

Let's answer point by point

Where are your sources? Or proofs? Did you go on kabam forum and got response from their team? If not, why you havent? Youve been here reverting my changes for a week. I have nothing to proove. If you (or someone else) have these characters, it's easy to made the screenshot I've made.

You know as well as me that you can change IP or go on another computer or smartphone in the same house. This is not an argument. The only argument is the source. If 3 persons change an article and say the Earth is the center of the universe, I will change what I think a mistake. It is the same for you. We live well in rich country and play games so we stay calm please ;)

Is hulk a bot in this picture?! Really?! Have you even played the game? And when you 'did' play, how many times your champ was on the right side in the battle?? Try to think before coming after someones integrity. Or just try to think. Anyplace. Anytime. you are not polite at all. Have you ever play with Thanos, adaptoid or ultron's drone ? This is the same. There are characters who are only for bots. That's all I wanted to say here.

You don't realize how you speak to someone else you don't know. You couldn't tell me those things in front of me. This is only a game and we have a discussion about it. You can't say anybody that is not normal. It's not polite. For your screenshots, you have forgotten the ally before the name of the players :) I've got a doubt. 2 things : 1-you are really honest and this is the end for spidey 1 star and Wolvy 1 star and I will let the change only for these 2 characters. 2-You absolutely want to have right and you made a little photoshop/paint on these pictures, which are pictures from bot and you've forgotten the ally. I will never know until I've got the same screenshot I've posted.

Ive done my elaborations. With even one ss, your whole theory falls, i really dont have to prove the others which theory ? And for the others, there is nothing and you know it. It's the same thing. If tomorrow, someone put Thor in one star, what will you do ?

I think ive proven more than i need, especially since i had to prove innocence in a first place. And I thank you for the time. But no one said you were guilty. At least, a little bit nervous ;)

Auf wiedersehen, my french friend, hope you have a very lucky, lucky life. Thanks for it but I've already got a lucky life ;) I could complain about Wolfgang Schauble but no history will judge him :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.157.66.190 (talk) 22:26, 7 August 2015 (UTC)

Is Kang playable or not ?

Many removes because of this question. One player (Brutal DLX) has won Kang because he finished realm of legend. He's the only player who can play with Kang. So, some players think Kang is playable, other not. So the question is : Is one character playable with one player make him playable ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.157.66.190 (talk) 20:19, 7 August 2015 (UTC)

Maybe It because Kang is boss and also antagonist in Marvel Contest of Champions

I have already answer you on your talk page...And no answer to my objections. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.157.66.190 (talk) 09:44, 10 October 2015 (UTC)

Hello

I've read the WPGUIDE you mentionned for Marvel Contest of Champions. Undoubtitably, the old page was too much detailled. There is no debat about it and your new redaction is good. Except on one point with this characters list. I've got a sociological approch. Wikipedia is also a reflect of our world at a precise moment. What is interesting in this list of characters is what Marvel deploy on several medias : comics, movies, tv show, animation and then video games. All is connected and this list of characters is linked to other pages form Marvel. With those link, it's just a reflect of the global approch of Marvel. Their universe is multiverse. As a matter of fact, this game is going to be a comics and an old comics like that exists in the 80's. So the list of characters is just a proof. This is not a guide for player. New characters is also a way to discover new characters in Marvel Universe. Also, this is a detail very appreciated by players. At last, this is just a list of characters of comics. This is not a list with power, abilities, special stuffs, synergies, bonus and co. And this is not a classic video game. If this were Street Fighter, I understand that the list of characters is not useful except the main one. But here, this is a little bit more as I said. It's a galaxy, it's a connection. That's why I think your good work of re-writing this page should be finished with this list.

Best regards

PS : and guidelines are guides. There are principes and there are exception sometimes ;)

=> this was my answer and you did not answer. You undid the versions with the playable characters a lot of time with no argu at my answer.

As this article is for everyone to edit, discussions about it are on its talk page. Wikipedia is not "a reflect of our world at a precise moment", Wikipedia's content is based upon sources. For video game articles, that means video game media, like websites and magazines. That Marvel is very popular might be true, but that does not mean we should have long list of characters here. Wikipedia doesn't function as a Marvel database, maybe the Marvel Wiki is the place for you?
The articles was protected before, just because IPs keep adding the list to it. It's pretty clear that consensus exists about these kind of lists. But again, feel free to start another discussion. --Soetermans. T / C 09:58, 10 October 2015 (UTC)
Case in point: the article again is semi-protected. --Soetermans. T / C 13:12, 10 October 2015 (UTC)

I don't think you answer to my all my points. You have your own opinion of something and we can't fight you because you're registered. In law, you're at the border of an abus. Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia. I invite you to look what was the origin of an encyclopedia. This is not about sources. You can't say : this is not "that" and then say this is only "upon sources". This is not a definition. This is a bot's work. If you don't give definition of what an online encyclopedia is, you should wonder. I gave you a sociological approach, you give me a bot approach, pretty rigid. And you should know that the others projects won't survive. It's very kind to indicate a marvel's wikia but who really cares ? who find a result of that wiki in google or other research ?

If this is a lack of sources, there was a list which can be proved by a link to the editor's game forum. This list proves something, the editorial work of an editor Marvel. To prove it, there is a comic based upon the game who will be next published. And the marvel universe is impacted by this game. So, when there's a list of characters (in this version 00:19, 5 October 2015‎ Kumagoro-42) with links, that proves this work and complete this sociological approach, I think this is a right thing. But in my point of view, you won't resolve the problem. Players will come again and again to add the playable characters as the protection prove it. With the add of Kumagoro42 and a link to the kabam's forum, it was solved and acceptable.

Last thing : guides are guides and exceptions proves the guides.

You can't decide for yourself what Wikipedia is for. Wikipedia works by consensus. There's a general guideline on what Wikipedia is not: WP:GAMEGUIDE. There's a WikiProject Video Games specifically what falls under video game article guidelines: WP:VGSCOPE. If you don't agree with those guidelines, fine, but don't expect that by citing WP:IGNORE you can have it your way. See WP:IAR-abg. --Soetermans. T / C 18:07, 19 October 2015 (UTC)

Obviously there is no consensus. You decide only by yourself and do not answer to my argument. Fine. Your're a little bit dictatorial. So, block me. Censore the people is a good way to end this. Julian Asange would be pleased to read you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.157.66.190 (talk) 10:10, 20 October 2015 (UTC)

I do not decide this for myself. There's WP:VG, a collaborative WikiProject that discusses about guidelines. You can join too, if you like. Concensus is reached over there. Going above a WikiProject are the general guidelines, WP:MOS. There's also what Wikipedia is not, one of which is WP:GAMEGUIDE.
I can't block you, I can't edit protect this article. I've shown you several guidelines to go by. If Julian Assange would be interested in reading these issues I think that would be pretty exciting, but that's just me. --Soetermans. T / C 10:34, 20 October 2015 (UTC)

I hope one day you will understand what is really a rule, a consensus and your acting here. You don't talk about what I've said to you. You only repeat the same thing over and over like an old vinyl. How can we discuss ? The only consensus for this page is your edition. Is a talk page is really useful in this case ? You decided because and you don't answer this article can be an exception because of what I said to you about the sociological approach. The only way of discussion is the rule and the censor. Ok, fine. You are judge and judged here. It's not correct. Another user has accepting the pending change (valeree) and you revert it without answer to my exception. Does I need to say more ? Do you really want to talk here or call the rules that I read and I reply to you it could be an exception ? Why there's a section about the comic book adaptation if this is not in the way of a sociological approach (and multidisciplinary) ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.157.66.190 (talk) 12:52, 20 October 2015 (UTC)

You keep bringing up your "sociological approach", which is your opinion. I follow Wikipedia's guidelines. --Soetermans. T / C 12:59, 20 October 2015 (UTC)

-1st argument from Soetermans : follow the guides

-1st answer from me : I read them and I say this page is further that this guide because of another approach

-end of the discussion : you never answer to my 1st answer and always repeat "follow the guides". You are following your idea. Fine. You do what you want.

I did. Your answer is your "sociological approach" is your opinion. --Soetermans. T / C 13:10, 20 October 2015 (UTC)

Yes a few minutes, you find this. But, I answer why there's a section with the comic book adaptation if this is only a video game...the fact that the guide was good here is also your opinion.

"Hulkbuster (Black)"

Is there a source for this variant Hulkbuster? I've never seen it and could find no web reference. --2600:1008:B018:52C4:CD93:6E13:3D71:24E4 (talk) 23:43, 30 August 2016 (UTC)

I removed the entry. An upcoming variant has been rumored, but until release should not be listed. If a variant currently does exist, it can be re-added, preferably with citation. --2600:1008:B01A:7B4B:0:47:9DAB:2401 (talk) 10:25, 19 October 2016 (UTC)

Can we just talk about the fact that they just straight out copied moves from other Capcom games? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHaPl_pXKak Jeandeve (talk) 18:59, 1 May 2017 (UTC)

There are often similarities with move sets and dialogue (sometimes word for word) between Marvel games. This is likely due to Marvel oversight of their IP rather than plagarism.Persianprince99 (talk) 12:31, 28 November 2021 (UTC)

It was very interesting playing Marvel: Contest of Champions, but there a new update for the app. The Trials of Richard Reed. That was a story about Richard Reed/Mister Fantastic, leader of the Fantastic Four. [User:JoelSmile410|JoelSmile410]] (talk) 17:12, 19 December 2019 (UTC)
