Mary C. Thompson was the academic Dean of Damavand College from 1968~1978 in Tehran. Damavand College doesn't exist any more as it was closed in 1980 shortly after the establishment of the Islamic republic of Iran which came up as the Revolution of 1979 in Iran. I gratuated from Damavand College in 1978.
Thompson died in April 5, 2005- in New York. She was an American from a Missionary Presbyterian Church. She was serving in Iran to improve the Iranian women condition from 1968~1978. Her character and activities must remain alive for future generation. Please, let me provide Wikipedia with data about her to keep the history of Damavand College alive. I will give as much references and sources as I can find, which are basically stored in the Year Book pamphlets of Damavand College. Let me set up this page and gradually other former Damavand students might become motivated to complete it with their knowledge.
