editWhile revising this page, I noticed that the date of Sister Maria's death was inaccurate. It should read 1665, not 1655.

Anti-Semitism?
editDoes Maria de Agreda say anywhere that Christians should deviate from clearly defined Biblical principles of charity and forgiveness and persecute Jews because they crucified the Lord? Something should be made clear here--"revenging the Crucifixion" is NOT a Christian principle and is a sin just as revenge is in any other case. "Vengence is mine; I will repay," is what God said. As for Maria being anti-Semitic, is she stating facts that occured with accuracy and without demanding vengence on the Jews, or is she inaccurate and demanding vengence on the Jews? Also, vigilantes are a different story, as they distort the truth in their own minds to justify their actions, so this needs to be distinguished. JBogdan 23:07, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
Difference from German Article
editThe German Wikipedia article says that María de Agreda is "venerable", but not yet beatified. It might be good to see if a date can be found for the beatification (the linked article says she has been beatified, but it's not exactly a peer-reviewed, unimpeachable source...) I'd be happier seeing a second source here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.13.16.18 (talk) 11:01, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
As of 2002, I see [1] that the case had not yet been closed.151.13.16.18 11:05, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
Page rename
editThe María de Agreda article sould be moved/renamed to Maria de Jesus de Ágreda (that is more correct and is the name with she is recognized by the Church and by the people). Thanks. 84.90.92.195 (talk) 15:43, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
Renowned Criminal?
editI wonder whether it is in the line of Wikipedia principles to spuriously refer to Casanova, a victim of the dubious Venetian inquisition and denunciation system, as "a renowned criminal"... --Terminally uncool (talk) 11:06, 3 June 2016 (UTC)
